Building My Steemit Assets

There are several people who claim that Steemit is only about blogging and cryptocurrencies. My perception, Steemit is a real business to all Steemians. Your actual commodity in this platform is your blog or content, your currency for payment and exchange are the Steem and Steem dollar while your marketplace is the Steemit World. Just like any corporate ladder, your position is your reputation and just like any celebrity your fans are your followers and the community. Your strength and asset is your Steem Power.

In financial world, Assets are the fuel of every business. Building your asset would give you power and flexibility, while your liabilities are those entities that create expenses. Steem Power is our asset in Steemit business, the more SP you have the bigger chance of earning great income.

I’ve been reading different articles created in Steemit for more or less 100 days and most of the expert is pointing to only two answers on how you can grow in this platform, the first is to create the best possible content you can produce and second is to increase your Steem Power.

I’ll be focused on discussing more on the energy source of every Steemians, their Steem Power. When I was several day old here, what I care only was to create a content and promote it, hoping for people’s upvote especially those with high vote value. As my stay progress I was able to learn that you need to enhance this asset to create leverage that will produce higher income. I have seen Steemians hurrying to exchange their SBD for fiat currency and they call it earnings. Almost all my blogs were bleeding with low upvotes even though I create post everyday my earning was just the same.

Plankton like me without crypto-currency to invest to boost my Steem Power is almost impossible to survive and may give-up writing because of the low return. As I study, I realize that there are several ways to start gaining SP without investing money by refraining from withdrawing my Steem Dollar immediately. I need to use my SBD to buy vote to push-up my Steem Power. This might take long but with better return in the long run.

When I save enough SP, I will be delegating it to bid bots to earn daily income so that I can invest those earnings to further power-up my account and sell votes to create more passive income. Once I gained more SP through this method my curation reward will be higher too and will produce more SP. I can ask a collective effort of our community to invest their earned SBD to be converted to SP for delegation to help us all create more income.

I may not have plenty of capital to invest, but by slowly going through other methods on how to increase SP it will help me survive in the Steemit ocean and will become one of the big whale later.

Steem Power is like a solar energy that helps every plants live and give natural power to humans. It fuels the Steemians life. With great contents and enough Steem Power you can go to vacation and wait for your payouts to come. You can use applications to automate your post and upvotes.

In any business, there is no easy way, there are struggles and challenges you just need to learn how to live with it. Adversaries may hinder us for a while but with persistence we can all improve our way of life using this platform.

With the help of God we can continue to survive using Steemit and move other people’s lives through our writings.

Meet new friends from different Steemit communities. Share and learn through this communities and grow your network with it. This can be a new writing career for you. Unleash that writer and artist in you. Read the guide below if you want to enjoy writing using Steemit.


To start properly, please be guided accordingly on how to begin your STEEMIT life.

STEP BY STEP GUIDE FOR BEGINNERS:

REGISTRATION:

1.  Open your mobile, laptop or desktop browser and enter this URL, steemit.com.

2.  Click Sign-up to start your registration.

3.  Ready your active email and mobile number. These will be used to verify you.

4.  Think of a username that you will use in steemit.

5.  After the registration, make sure that you see your email everyday. The approval link will be sent through email.

6.  Wait for the approval usually it takes 3 to 14 days. Registration is FREE, have more patients in waiting.

APPROVAL

1.  Once your registration is approved, email will arrive to your inbox with the link.

2.  Make sure you have a good connection, wifi or data, so that once you open the link you’ll not lose your password.

3.  Click the link from your inbox, you will be directed to steemit website showing your password. Copy your system generated password to your clipboard, then paste in a word or text editor and save it. If you lose your password it is hard to recover or regenerate. Hide your password that no one can access. Click continue to proceed to the next step.

4.  After you copied it, you will be directed to log-in page so use your username and password to enter Steemit.

5.  Hola! You are now a member of Steemit.

6.  Don’t be too excited, don’t post immediately. You need to learn more! Ask the one who tell you about this platform what to do.

7.  You can click the menu stripes on the top left corner, to see the FAQ. Please read it first.

8.  Navigate your page first to familiarize its content. Click setting to set-up your profile picture and cover photo so that people will acknowledge you as a person. More followers will follow you if you have nice picture and cover photo. Use the tinypic.com to turn your picture into link. Then paste the link to profile pic or cover photo.

9.  Follow people you share the same interest or people in the group you belong.

MAKING YOUR FIRST  POST

1.  Click the pen icon in the right side of your webpage to start constructing your post. You can do your draft to an HTML editor or word processor then copy-paste to Steemit word editor.

2.  Make a very relevant Title to capture attention of readers. You can post anything that you desire within ethical standard, of course.

3.  You can include mention of people by adding @ sign in front of the username of the person.

4.  You can use # tag to mention or highlight individual, group or topic.

5.  You can use simple html syntax to make your blog look better and html links to highlight weblinks directing to another site or blogs.

6.  Make your post better with pictures and videos. You can include it in any parts of your post as you want.

7.  Make 5 tags for your post and place it in tag portion of the tag field. Use small leters only and each tag ,ust be separated by space, not comma. The first tag will be the category of your blog post. It will be included in the post URL of your blog. The post URL is needed to share it so steemians can read, upvote and comment on your post.

8.  Click POST to publish it. Your post will be seen in the New Feed content and to your Blog page as well.  

9.  Promote your post to social media like FB, Twitter and Intagram that are steemit community. They will give you upvote, if they feel you have good contents.

10. Steemit will give the post 30 minutes to be curated, after that voters can still upvote until the 7th day without curation reward. Payout is after 7 days of posting. The more upvotes you get, the more earnings will be transferred to your wallet.

11. In the Wallet tab, you’ll see different currencies. You can learned what are those currencies by reading the FAQ.

65 Day STEEMIT Experience

It has been 65 days when I created an account with STEEMIT. I was curious about my son’s ( @valiantegg ) story that there was a platform that pays author for their writings.

I’d been a freelance writer and a blogger for 7 years now and I never heard of such platform. The author is paid base on the likes or upvote of other members. I thought it was just another scam in the internet, but I was wrong.

I started blogging and joined facebook chat groups to ask for support. STEEMIT ACADEMY LAGUNA CHAPTER accepted me to be a part of them. My son asked me to put tags of groups like #steemitfamilyph and#steemitpowerupph and joined the group so I can easily gain upvotes and I found out that these communities were so accomodating and helpful to newbie like me.

When I posted my 3rd blog Ms @Ankarlie Santos informed me to join#steemgig and I did. I learned so many things including the new currencies that was introuduced to me like steem, steem power and steem base dollar. I only knew btc and ether then.

I felt very happy when I saw my son got his first payout when he sold his SBD to another steemian and sent it to my coin.ph wallet. I withdrew the money and gave it to him. It was his first earned money from his writings.

I thought buiding a group will help us increase upvotes so we started looking for friends who liked writing and other form of art that can be posted in Steemit. We now have 20 members under #unlisteemerph and hopefully it grows more.

We are thankful that our group was adopted by steemitpowerupph and @surpassinggoogle helped newbies like us in starting our career in writing. STEEMIT can help us because the members of unlisteemersph were students who rely to parents when it comes to their expenses. Now that they can earn small amount of money, it will be a big help for them and their parents.

I would like to thank the people behind this new platform in social media (STEEMIT). Spending time doing this is better than posting in other social media that won’t give us anything in return. We can introduce it to others especially those who have talent in writing that will surely help them to sharpen their talent.
